I met them on the board of Washington Place Foundation.  Washington Place was built by my great-great grandfather, Captain John Dominis, in the 1840's.  His son, Governor John Owen Dominis, married Queen Lili'uokalani and the home continued to be Lili'u's home for 55 years.  At her death, it was sold to the Territory of Hawaii to become the Governor's home.  The Foundation was formed by Vicky Cayetano to first build a separate residence for the Governors and then to restore, preserve and open Washington Place to the public.  Georg and John's creativity have helped to raise monies, explain our stories and open the doors of Washington Place.  After a lot of coaxing, we opened the doors of the needlepoint world and they have started this wonderful series of designs.  Hopefully with a lot more to come. 

 

I have also been able to get Peter Ashe's wonderful Hawaii designs.  I currently have Kawaihao Church and the Coronation Pavilion in stock.  Peter created these a number of years ago and has kindly re-introduced them to his line.
